Jakarta, January 3, 2025 – Nanyang Bridge Media announced that it has successfully brought the 2025 China Central Television ( CMG ) Spring Festival Gala to the big screen in Indonesia! This is the first time that the Spring Festival celebration with the largest audience in the world will be presented in a cinema outside of China. This historic breakthrough not only highlights the increasingly close cultural exchanges between Indonesia and China, but also opens a new chapter in the cultural dissemination of the Spring Festival.
As a core partner of China Central Television (CMG), Nanyang Bridge Media played a vital role in the planning and execution of this event. From the early negotiations and coordination with various Indonesian institutions to the final screening in several selected theaters in Indonesia, Nanyang Bridge Media, with its extensive industry network and rich experience in transnational media operations, ensured the complete success of this premiere event, allowing more audiences to experience the unique charm of the Spring Festival Gala in theaters.
The event was strongly supported by AICE Ice Cream, Fen Jiu, and Wankol. Aice Ice Cream and Fen Jiu brought delicious food and festive atmosphere to the audience, while Wankol helped expand the influence of the event and attract a wider audience.
This premiere is of great significance. It is not only the first time that the Spring Festival Gala is presented in overseas theaters, but also an important cultural display around the world since the Spring Festival was officially included in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List in 2024. Nanyang Bridge Media presents this annual cultural event on the big screen, which not only promotes the international recognition of the Spring Festival, but also brings a more immersive Spring Festival experience to the Indonesian people, making this traditional festival more vivid and lively.
In Indonesia, since the Spring Festival became a national statutory holiday in 2003 , every Spring Festival has kicked off with colorful celebrations such as dragon and lion dances, lantern festivals, and family reunions. The screening of the 2025 Spring Festival Gala in theaters has further deepened the reunion and festive atmosphere of the Spring Festival, allowing the audience to feel the warmth and joy of Chinese culture in the theater.
The successful holding of this event once again demonstrated Nanyang Bridge Media’s firm commitment to building a cultural bridge through media and entertainment. In the future, as cultural exchanges between Indonesia and China continue to deepen, Nanyang Bridge Media will continue to promote more innovative projects, promote broader and deeper cultural exchanges, and bring more exciting cultural experiences to the people of both countries!
