Introduction

Guangxi Radio and Television (GXRT) and Televisi Republik Indonesia (TVRI), Indonesia’s sole state-owned TV station, have joined forces to produce a 60-minute documentary titled “Maritime Silk Road《海上丝路天涯比邻》. This documentary was created to mark several significant anniversaries: the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and the China-Indonesia comprehensive strategic partnership, the 20th anniversary of the China-ASEAN Expo, and the launch of the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway. The collaboration reflects a shared vision to highlight the deep-rooted ties and mutual benefits of the China-Indonesia partnership.

Objectives

The documentary aimed to:

01

Highlight the collaborative efforts between China and Indonesia in building the 21st-century Maritime Silk Road.

02

Showcase the positive impacts of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) on local communities and projects in Indonesia.

03

Engage Indonesian Generation Z by focusing on the dynamic, energetic aspects of life influenced by the partnership.

The documentary also emphasized the current era’s vitality, portraying the bustling life and cutting-edge technologies that shape modern China-Indonesia relations.
